big brother.

I'm so proud.

I tell ya - our family has birthed some pretty good lookin' stock in our time... of course there's a fair share of not-so-good-lookin' ones scattered around... ahem. But for the most part, we're all pretty darn-tootin' attractive, if'n ya' ask me! :)

It was awesome to be there for Nathanael's BMT graduation. In fact the whole experience was so great that it made me want to sign up just to wear those snazzy blues and march around in step all the time! (Don't worry Andy, I haven't made any commitments that you don't know about!) I'm definitely feeling more Patriotic than I ever have before - thanks to big brother (AHAHAHA) - and it's a surprisingly pleasant feeling.

This morning when we left the base we were running late and ended up being there when they were doing a practice "Charlie" exercise, in which all of the building and certain roads on base lock down to everyone... I thought we were going to get shot when I had to run Ivy inside a building to use the potty... but they didn't shoot us, thankfully, and we made it out okay. My favorite part about staying on base (besides all the lovely uniforms marching around in step all the time) was hearing Taps play at night over the loudspeakers. They play several different things throughout the day (mostly subliminal messaging/brainwashing, I'm convinced) but Taps was the best by far.

Actually Nathanael was the best thing by far.

And that's that.
