This past week I have spent quite a few hours late into the night working on finishing a set of songs for my friend Jacob's online record label called Holiday Records. Over the past year or so Holiday has been giving away free downloads from bands around the world every Friday and this week it was my turn. When I started talking to Jacob about contributing to his project I wanted to do something a bit different from my usual work so I set out in a new direction that I have been quite pleased with. While taking bits of old songs, bribing friends to play real instruments for me and pasting together snippets of me poking around on instruments I have no business touching, I finally ended up with four tracks that I'm pretty darn excited about.
